Careers in finance increasingly depend upon a firm understanding of the foundations of investment behaviour and of the implications of complex developments in the structure of the global financial environment; the programme provides students with the skills to identify appropriate tools for the analysis of issues in areas such as investment analysis, fund management and financial regulation.
Entry requirements
Good 1st degree (equivalent to a British 2nd Class Honours degree, a 4 year university degree) and proficiency in English; applicants must have IELTS 7.0 or TOEFL 600; non-standard qualifications considered, e.g. considerable management experience.
Course modules
Semester 1: introductory econometrics for finance; macroeconomics for finance; accounting; issues in corporate finance; semester 2: empirical methods in finance; portfolio analysis and management; securities investment regulations and practice; final stage: dissertation.
