Summary Information
The course provides an opportunity for study in the canon law of the churches of the Worldwide Anglican Communion, particularly that of the Church of England, and the Roman Catholic Church and the law of the State applicable to these churches; it provides academic training, but with a substantial emphasis on practical application; students complete 4 modules (1 assessment for each module comprising a 5000-word essay or examination) and a dissertation (not exceeding 15000 words); all 4 modules in the Canon Law route are compulsory.
Entry requirements
A good Honours degree in law, although applicants with other appropriate qualifications are considered; students whose 1st language is not English need 6.5 in IELTS (to include 6.0 in each element), or 580 (paper-based) or 237 (computer-based) or 90 (internet-based) in TOEFL.
