Entry requirements
Minimum 2.2 Honours degree in a relevant science, engineering or management subject; professional qualifications and work experience considered on an individual basis; applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 6.5 (with no less than 6 in each component), or a TOEFL score of 575 with TWE 4.5 (paper-based test), or 232 in CBT with WTE 4.5, or TOEFL iBT score of 90–91.
Course modules
Core modules: dissertation planning and paper presentation; water resources and hydrology; water flow in pipes, open channels and aquifers; environmental chemistry; environmental microbiology; environmental sampling and data analysis; dissertation (msc only); plus 6 options from: hydrogeology; asset management and whole life costing; soil/groundwater risk assessment; risk analysis and extreme events; fate and transport of pollutants; modelling water distribution; field investigation methods; environmental river processes; landfill engineering and environmental management; design and performance of urban drainage; natural attenuation of pollution; stormwater management.
