Summary Information
The programme runs from September until the following September, with taught modules in 1st and 2nd semesters and a dissertation of between 15,000 and 20,000 words to be submitted by early September, allowing graduation in December; students also have the option of applying for a 3-month summer placement with leading consultancy firms and other private and public sector employers.
Entry requirements
An undergraduate Honours degree in economics, business economics or related discipline from a suitably quality assured university (normally the equivalent of a UK Honours degree Upper 2nd Class.); the University welcomes applications from a diverse range of candidates so also considers previous work experience alongside academic qualifications; candidates are encouraged to submit a detailed CV; candidates who lack the prerequisite academic qualification or equivalent may be required to attend an interview.

1st semester: theoretical and applied microeconomics; research methods for business economists and 1 from: operations management in the new economy; winning markets; corporate finance; 2nd semester: labour and personnel economics; topics in business economics and 1 from: strategy-making for tomorrow’s managers; people and the 21st century organisation; international banking; money and finance
