Summary Information

The course involves exploring, engaging with and evaluating different aspects of the creative and cultural industries; students explore the contexts, motivations and prompts for the range of contemporary policies and initiatives supporting these industries that promote their role in post-industrial economies, contributing to urban regeneration and social cohesion; the course links theory with practical engagement with creative industries and politics.

Entry requirements

2.1 or considerable experience in a related field and be able to demonstrate outstanding ability and potential; all applicants whose native language is not English require IELTS level 6.5; sound academic skills; competence in information technology.

Course modules

The taught postgraduate phase of the course comprises modules in creative industries; social media; cultural policy; the Master's component entails a substantial piece of independent study and a 15000-word dissertation.
