Summary Information
The course has been designed for students who wish to develop practical and intellectual skills that are essential to operate as journalists in an international context; it will prepare students for utilising traditional and new media platforms for journalism practice to a local or global public; practical work is underpinned by a critical engagement with topical issues that bear on contemporary journalism practice in an international context; students will be able to work independently and in teams on practical journalism work for global media organisations, having developed an understanding of key issues and challenges that are re-shaping the practice of contemporary journalism, and specialist production skills that allow students to develop expertise in a particular area of journalism work.
Entry requirements
Degree in a related subject, or equivalent qualifications or experience; fluent grasp of English.
