Summary Information
This programme focuses on community care and mental health law, policy and practice in England and Wales; the 2 core modules explore the origins of the law in both fields: the growth of the asylum and the development of the Poor Law; they critically analyse the current legal regimes as well as the policy, research and theoretical socio-legal contexts in which these legal regimes exist.
Entry requirements
Good Honours degree in Law (2.2 or equivalent), although other appropriate qualifications may be considered; those whose 1st language is not English must obtain a score of at least 6.5 in IELTS (with no less than 6.0 in any element) or 580 (paper-based), 237 (computer-based), 90 (internet-based) in TOEFL or equivalent.
