Summary Information
This programme is offered on a blended learning basis, meaning that students can choose the best mode of study for them; the course allows students to learn how to put law into practice; the main aim is to prepare students for practice; with this is mind all our reading sessions are practice-based dealing with real life problems enabling students to understand common legal practice, procedures and transactions in the core and elective stages of the LPC; alumni students are entitled to a 15 per cent discount on the course tuition fees.
Entry requirements
Qualifying law degree or a common professional examination (CPE) or a graduate diploma in law (GDL) conversion course; FILEX qualification accepted.
Course modules
Core modules: Business law and practice; property law and practice; litigation; advocacy; interviewing and advising; practical legal research; writing; drafting; the pervasive areas of professional conduct and regulation; solicitors accounts rules; financial services; taxation; wills and administration of estates; plus 3 elective modules from: advanced criminal litigation; advanced litigation and dispute resolution; commercial law; commercial property; corporate finance and acquisitions; employment law; family law; immigration law; private client.
