Located in one of Europe's most cosmopolitan capital cities, the Cardiff School of Management at UWIC is one of the leading centres for MBA learning in the UK university sector, with over 2,800 students in total studying across all subject disciplines.
Autumn 2010 saw the opening of the brand new, state-of-the-art Management building at the universities Llandaff Campus. This great new facility will enable the school to become a leading centre in the UK for teaching and research in subjects including business, hospitality and tourism and will allow the school to innovate and develop an exemplar of what a modern management school should be - strong in learning and teaching, research and enterprise and accessible to the local and wider business community.
The Schools' five Departments: 'Accounting, Finance and Economics'; 'Business and Management'; 'Information Systems'; 'International Studies and Student Support'; 'Tourism Hospitality and Event Management', offer a wide range of postgraduate programmes and are home to an exciting range of research and enterprise activities designed to make a difference to the development of the economy and society in Wales and beyond. We have over 120 full-time academics including eight Professors and two readers and five Honorary Professors, many of whom are part of extensive international networks.

At a glance, our new management building will provide students and staff with:
- Facilities for 160 staff and more than 2,000 students.
- A full height atrium running its entire length creating the social heart of the building with a feature staircase.
- 30 innovative learning areas including: a 200-capacity lecture theatre, a 120-capacity lecture theatre, three Harvard style lecture theatres (semi-circle design) with capacity for up to 58 students.
- A state-of-the-art IT network suite which will use the latest technology to facilitate problem-based learning, brainstorming and group working providing a ‘hands-on' approach to teaching and learning.
- Two IT training suites designed specifically for software development training.
- A contemporary restaurant and bar with a professional standard kitchen for Hospitality and Catering students.
- A catering facility serving a range of hot snacks, sandwiches and drinks, a Dolche Vita café serving coffees, teas and hot snacks with a garden terrace seating more than 80 people.
- Two social learning spaces, each with space for up to 36 people.
