Robert Gordon University

The Information Management department's excellent reputation speaks for itself - top in Scotland and 2nd in the UK for research in library and information management, according to the Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) 2008. Study with us and you'll enjoy a close relationship with practitioners (both local and national), as well as academics highly respected in the information management field. We specialize in meeting the needs not just of students but employers too, securing valuable placement opportunities that offer highly marketable workplace experience. It means an up-to-date and informed approach to preparing students for the realities of work.

Postgraduate study

You do not have to be in Aberdeen to study for one of our degrees, many of our courses are available online. Study online through Campus Moodle, our virtual learning environment, and interact with lecturers and fellow students from around the world.

Research

The Research Mission of the Department of Information Management is to develop understanding of the use and impact of information and knowledge, leading to information solutions that empower individuals, organizations and communities.

Facilities

Robert Gordon University Information Management students benefit from learning in a 'state-of-the-art' Norman Foster-designed building - complete with spacious lecture theatres and extensive IT facilities offering wireless access for all students and staff.
