Ashridge Business School

Ashridge Business School

Ashridge Business School is an independent, not for profit organisation just outside of London in the UK. Its activities include open and tailored executive education programmes, MBA, MSc and Diploma qualifications, organisation consulting, applied research and online learning.

Business leaders from all over the world come to Ashridge to renew and refresh their thinking. Its atmosphere is one where tradition meets innovation – in one of the most beautiful locations in England.

Ashridge faculty comprises of both business professionals and consultants, who bring, academic rigour, in-depth industry experience and latest management practice to the design and teaching of executive education.

Postgraduate study

Ashridge offers a one-year Full Time MBA and two-year Executive MBA starting September. Both take an integrated view of business, rather than teaching functional subjects in isolation, and provide thorough grounding in all the disciplines required to lead a business. The Online Ashridge Masters in Management offers flexible learning to those seeking a work-based masters with the option to stop after each stage of study (Postgraduate Certificate, Postgraduate Diploma, Masters).

A range of specialist part time Masters include the Masters in Sustainability and Responsibility, Masters in Executive Coaching and the Masters in Organisational Change.

Research

At Ashridge we carry out research that is driven by the needs of managers and leaders. Our applied focus ensures that what we do is relevant, timely and delivers benefits to individuals and the organisations they work in. Our six Research Centres carry out specialist research in learning, strategic management, leadership, business and sustainability, coaching and action research. They also provide clients with consultancy services and specialist programmes. We deliver commissioned research and work in partnership with organisations where we have mutual research interests. Our publications database contains over 2900 Ashridge-authored books, reports, journal and magazine articles and conference papers. Our three in-house publications, 360, the Ashridge Journal, Network, our quarterly magazine, and Converse, the Ashridge Consulting magazine, report our latest thinking.

Facilities

Ashridge students have 24-hour access to the onsite library and Virtual Ashridge online learning resource. Both provide physical and remote access to a vast range of learning materials and several large online databases. Outside the classroom, participants can use the Lifestyle Centre free, which boards a fully equipped gym, swimming pool, Jacuzzi, steam room and squash courts. Outside, there are tennis courts, cricket and football pitches and a golf course. For meals and refreshments, Ashridge has a sociable bar and award-winning dining facilities. Meals are included in the price for participants while they are at Ashridge on their course.

Ashridge provides a Career Service which offers guidance and coaching sessions, personal development workshops and access to a large selection of professional development resources including job banks and tailored careers information. Recruiters are able to access Ashridge’s online job section where programme participants can post their CV profiles.
